DSCA Deputy Director participates in IISS Riyadh Defense Forum 2022
DSCA Deputy Director Jed Royal participated in the 2022 International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Riyadh Defense Forum, a gathering for senior government officials and defense industry representatives to discuss Middle Eastern defense policy and economics. Mr. Royal participated on a panel focused on international defense perspectives with senior government officials from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the Republic of Korea; and the United Kingdom.

Around the world, conflict and disasters adversely and disproportionately affect women and girls, yet women remain under-represented in efforts to prevent and resolve conflict and in post-conflict peacebuilding or recovery efforts. Research has shown that peace negotiations are more likely to succeed, and result in lasting stability, when women participate.

U.S. Humanitarian Assistance Arrives in Bogoso-Apiate
Apiate, Western Region, Ghana — Apiate, Western Region, Ghana – The U.S. Embassy together with Ghana’s National Disaster Management Office (NADMO) delivered urgently needed humanitarian relief supplies to the Apiate community near Bogoso yesterday. The U.S. Department of Defense’s Overseas Humanitarian, Disaster Assistance, and Civic Aid program funded the supplies, including clothing, medical supplies, drinking water, blankets and mattresses, personal hygiene items, and food and cooking utensils.
