Inaugural U.S.-Lebanon Defense Resourcing Conference:

The U.S. Department of State and the Lebanese Armed Forces held their inaugural Defense Resourcing Conference on May 21, 2021.  Senior Official for Arms Control and International Security C.S. Eliot Kang headed the U.S. delegation and Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander General Joseph Aoun headed the Lebanese delegation.

459th teams with Denton Program for humanitarian mission

The 459th Air Refueling Wing recently teamed with the Denton Program to deliver donated laptops to underprivileged children in The Bahamas. The purpose of the Denton Program is to allow U.S. based non-governmental sources to transport humanitarian aid at little or no cost to the donor while simultaneously putting extra space on U.S. military transport assets to good use.

WASHINGTON, March 16, 2018 - Both the U.S. Departments of State and Defense are undertaking significant reforms to modernize policies and processes for defense trade with foreign military partners. This public event will feature key U.S. government leaders for implementing this reform and provide an opportunity to critically examine how the Trump Administration plans to leverage defense trade to enhance U.S. global competitiveness as a strategic tool of U.S. foreign policy.
