US humanitarian aid for Honduras tops 6 million pounds with Denton Program

A KC-46A Pegasus from the 931st Air Refueling Wing, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, delivered 12 pallets of cargo for the Denton Program at Soto Cano Air Base, May 8. The Denton Program is a Department of Defense humanitarian assistance transportation program that moves humanitarian cargo, donated by United States-based non-governmental organizations to countries in need.

FY22 Security Cooperation Figures Announcement

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announces the fiscal year 2022 U.S. arms transfer figures, as well as other notable accomplishments and statistics, highlighting the depth and breadth of U.S. security cooperation efforts. Arms transfers for fiscal year 2022 totaled $51.92 billion, resulting in a three-year rolling average of $45.84 billion.

459th teams with Denton Program for humanitarian mission

The 459th Air Refueling Wing recently teamed with the Denton Program to deliver donated laptops to underprivileged children in The Bahamas. The purpose of the Denton Program is to allow U.S. based non-governmental sources to transport humanitarian aid at little or no cost to the donor while simultaneously putting extra space on U.S. military transport assets to good use.

U.S. Donates USD $3.5 Million in COVID-Relief Supplies

Today, U.S. Southern Command Admiral Craig S. Faller led a ceremony in Buenos Aires to donate three field hospitals to Argentina on behalf of the Department of Defense, in support of our joint effort to combat COVID-19. Argentina’s Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, and Minister of Defense, Agustín Rossi, also participated in the ceremony.

Training center’s mission impacts post-war regions around world

The Humanitarian Demining Training Center’s (HDTC) impact can be felt across continents, countries and conflicts as a post-war resource supporting the removal of explosive remnants of battle amongst other efforts to make places safe again. That primarily means training select U.S. military personnel in landmine and battle area clearance with the expectation of them sharing those skills and knowledge with partner nations who have common security interests.
