NA - Today, U.S. Southern Command Admiral Craig S. Faller led a ceremony in Buenos Aires to donate three field hospitals to Argentina on behalf of the Department of Defense, in support of our joint effort to combat COVID-19. Argentina’s Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, and Minister of Defense, Agustín Rossi, also participated in the ceremony. “Since the COVID-19 crisis began, SOUTHCOM has worked closely with its Argentine partners,” Admiral Faller said. “Together, we have delivered 15 COVID-related humanitarian assistance donations to support Argentina’s ongoing response to the pandemic, delivering much-needed protective equipment, medical supplies, and monitoring and screening tools.”
