Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson - Maj. Gen. Matthew McFarlane, the deputy commanding general of America’s First Corps, visits with leaders of the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Feb. 21. McFarlane toured the future TSC facility and met with TSC leadership to discuss ways to collaborate to advance security priorities in the Arctic region. The Stevens Center is committed to supporting I Corps operations by building interagency partnerships to understand and address Arctic and climate security challenges. Through innovative and collaborative education, research, and engagement, we can empower Arctic security practitioners to identify solutions and best practices to support an Arctic region that is peaceful, stable, prosperous, and cooperative.
