Ambassador Kirby Attends Donation Ceremony at Red Cross in Zemun

On Thursday, January 28, Ambassador Michael D. Kirby will attend a donation ceremony at the Serbian Red Cross warehouse in Zemun to mark the handover of a consignment of supplies to assist refugees and migrants in Serbia. The donation is the first of two, with a total value of approximately $665,000. This is a US Department of Defense donation carried out through EUCOM (US Military European Command) and the US Embassy.

AFRICOM, U.S. State Department Dedicate Medical Dispensary in Gabon That was OHDACA-Funded

U.S. Africa Command and State Department officials were greeted with energetic singing and dancing July 30 as they dedicated a renovated medical dispensary in northern Gabon.

U.S. Army Foreign Area Officer Major Natasha Hinds officially transferred the keys of the dispensary, which was constructed with AFRICOM Humanitarian Assistance funds, to the Ntem County Council.

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus concluded a visit to Ghana Aug. 20 where he met with Ghanaian government and military officials to discuss maritime security issues in the region and future partnership opportunities. He also met with U.S. embassy Sailors and Marines and presented an award to Lt. Cmdr. Michele Lowe for her work while stationed at the embassy.
