India – 777 Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures Self-Protection Suite

WASHINGTON, February 6, 2019 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to India of two (2) 777 Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) Self-Protection Suites (SPS) for an estimated cost of $190 million.  The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

India – Support for Direct Commercial Sale of AH-64E Apache Helicopters

WASHINGTON, Jun. 12, 2018 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to India of items in support of a proposed direct commercial sale of six (6) AH-64E Apache helicopters for an estimated cost of $930 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

India – Follow-on Support of C-130J Super Hercules Aircraft

WASHINGTON, Apr 24, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to India for Follow-on Support of C-130J Super Hercules Aircraft and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $96 million.  The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

WASHINGTON, Jul 1, 2014 – The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to India for UGM-84L Harpoon missiles and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $200 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on July 1, 2014.

ABOARD A MILITARY AIRCRAFT, Sept. 18, 2013 – Deputy Defense Secretary Ash Carter today wrapped up a weeklong overseas trip that included stops in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

After spending three days in Afghanistan, Carter stopped in Islamabad, Pakistan, for talks with senior defense and government officials. Among the topics discussed was the importance of Pakistan’s continued economic development to the security of the region, Carter said today.

The economic development of Pakistan is essential, he said.

India - C-130J Aircraft

WASHINGTON, Oct. 27, 2011 – The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress Oct. 26 of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of India for six Lockheed Martin C-130Js and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $1.2 billion.
