The U.S. Government has committed $12.5 million in humanitarian funding to aid relief efforts in Nepal following the April 25 earthquake.  U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funds totaling $12.5 million will reach urban and rural communities in the hardest hit districts throughout Nepal.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 11, 2014 – The United States and Britain have flown 14 humanitarian airdrops since Aug. 7 to Yezidi refugees in the Sinjar Mountains in Iraq, a Defense Department official said today.

The Security Assistance Command has delivered four Acrow roadway bridges to the country of Nepal through its Foreign Military Sales program.
