U.S. Ambassador-in-Residence Will Bring Diplomatic Experience, Perspective to Marshall Center Team

The U.S. State Department’s Ambassador Eric Nelson will be appointed as an Associate Director of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany in early 2022.

Germany – MK 54 Lightweight Torpedoes (LWT)

­­­WASHINGTON, July 9, 2020 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Germany of sixty-four (64) MK 54 All Up Round Lightweight torpedoes, ten (10) MK 54 Conversion Kits and related equipment for an estimated cost of $130 million.  The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Germany – Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) Missiles Segment Enhanced

­­­WASHINGTON, July 12, 2019 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Germany of Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) Missiles Segment Enhanced (MSE) with support for an estimated cost of $401 million.  The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on July 12, 2019.
