Australia – AIM-120D Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles

WASHINGTON, Apr. 25, 2016 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for AIM-120D Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles and associated equipment, training, and support. The estimated cost is $1.22 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on April 21, 2016.

WASHINGTON, Apr. 6, 2016 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for GBU-39 (Small Diameter Bomb Increment I) and associated equipment, training, and support. The estimated cost is $386 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on April 4, 2016.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 21, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for CH-47F aircraft, related equipment and support. The estimated cost is $180 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on December 18, 2015.

WASHINGTON, Jun 22, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for AGM-88B High Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $69 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on June 19, 2015.

Australia – F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler Aircraft Sustainment

WASHINGTON, Apr 28, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler Aircraft Sustainment and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $1.5 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Australia – Hobart Class Destroyer Sustainment

WASHINGTON, Apr 28, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for Hobart Class Destroyer Sustainment and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $275 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Joint Media Release – Australian Prime Minister and Minister for Defence – Acquisition of two additional C-17A Globemaster III Aircraft – 10 April 2015

The Commonwealth Government has decided to acquire two additional Boeing C-17A Globemaster III aircraft to bolster the Royal Australian Air Force’s existing fleet of six strategic lift aircraft.

The acquisition of the two additional C-17s – and associated equipment and facilities – represents an investment of $1 billion in Australia’s security and the ability of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to respond to a range of contingencies.

This project will also provide significant work opportunities for local industry.

WASHINGTON, Jan 26, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for M88A2 Hercules Heavy Recovery Vehicles and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $47 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Australia – C-17 Globemaster III Aircraft

WASHINGTON, Nov 12, 2014 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $1.609 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Australia – Close-In Weapon System Block 1B Baseline 2 Upgrade

WASHINGTON, Oct 14, 2014 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for Close-In Weapon System Block 1B Baseline 2 upgrades and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $76 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on October 10, 2014.
