Announcing the Departure of Deputy DIrector Jed Royal

Mr. Jed Royal

Our colleague and Deputy Director, Mr. Jed Royal, will be transitioning on September 12 to his new role as the Principal Deputy Assistant Director for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

“As I work alongside my DSCA colleagues, I know the future of public service in the United States is bright.  I see the integrity and dedication to mission every day.  It is my great privilege to be part of this world-class team.” – Deputy Director Jed Royal

Mr. Royal departs having led DSCA through a critical period in its half-century long history, ranging from the U.S. withdrawal of Afghanistan, to the present crisis in Ukraine, all the while remaining dedicated to strengthening the agency’s workforce during a global pandemic.

DSCA wishes Deputy Director Royal the best of luck and is excited to continue working with him on important efforts affecting U.S. national security and defense interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
