Republic of Korea - Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) System

WASHINGTON, Nov. 16, 2016 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea for Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) System, equipment, training, and support. The estimated cost is $141 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on November 16, 2016.

Republic of Korea-SM-2 Block IIIB Standard Missiles and Containers

WASHINGTON, Jul 5, 2016 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea for SM-2 Block IIIB Standard missiles, containers and support. The estimated cost is $65 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on July 1, 2016.

WASHINGTON, Nov 18, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea for UGM-84L Harpoon Block II missiles and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $110 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on November 17, 2015.

WASHINGTON, Jul 15, 2015 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea for the KF-16 Upgrade Program and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $2.5 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on July 14, 2015.

Republic of Korea – AGM-114R1 Hellfire Missiles

WASHINGTON, Apr 1, 2015 – The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea for AGM-114R1 Hellfire Missiles and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $81 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on March 30, 2015.

Republic of Korea Requests U.S. Government Terminate KF-16 Upgrade Contract with BAE

On November 5, 2014, at the request of the Government of the Republic of Korea, the U.S. Government notified BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Service of Rockville, Maryland, that it would terminate for convenience a contract with BAE for initial development and long lead production in support of the Republic of Korea KF-16 fighter aircraft upgrade.  This contract was the first of a two-phase Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procurement for the upgrade of 134 KF-16s.  The U.S. Government will work with BAE to close out the contract.

WASHINGTON, Nov 5, 2014 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Republic of Korea for Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) missiles and associated equipment, parts and logistical support for an estimated cost of $1.405 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
