France – Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG)

WASHINGTON, December 21, 2021 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible
Foreign Military Sale to the Government of France of Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS),
Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG), and related equipment for an estimated cost of $1.321 billion. The Defense
Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

United Kingdom – Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System Long Lead Sub-Assemblies

WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2011 – The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress today of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of the United Kingdom for one long lead sub-assemblies for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System/Advanced Arresting Gear (EMALS/AAG) and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $200 million.
