Belgium – Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles for F-16 and F-35 Programs

WASHINGTON, November 8, 2022 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Belgium of AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) and related equipment for a total estimated cost of $380 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Belgium – F-16 Sustainment

WASHINGTON, July 19, 2022 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Belgium of F-16 Sustainment and related equipment for an estimated cost of $127 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

Belgium – MQ-9B SkyGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA)

­­­WASHINGTON, March 26, 2019 - The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Belgium of MQ-9B SkyGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) and related equipment for an estimated cost of $600 million.  The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on March 25, 2019.

Hagel Expresses Thanks for Belgium’s Support of Security Efforts

WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 2013 – Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel today praised the key role Belgium continues to play in supporting security efforts in several regions of the world, Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said.

In a statement summarizing a Pentagon meeting between Hagel and Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Pieter De Crem, Little noted that Belgium has pledged security assistance funding and agreed to train security forces in Afghanistan, supporting stability efforts post-2014.
