Army makes final delivery of IA-407s to the Iraqis

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. (May 21, 2013) -- The Army completed a significant milestone in helping to maintain stability in Iraq now that the U.S. military have departed from that theater of operations.

The Project Office for Armed Scout Helicopters, along with several representatives from different organizations on Redstone Arsenal, made the eighth delivery of the Iraqi Armed-407 Bell helicopters to Iraq. 

Army advances Better Buying Power

WASHINGTON (Jan. 27, 2013) -- The U.S. Army has achieved significant cost savings and cost avoidance as result of its implementation of Better Buying Power, an initiative led by the Office of the Secretary of Defense aimed at improving the management of acquisition programs, incentivizing competition, eliminating redundancy and achieving the maximum amount of savings, senior service officials explained.
