SECDEF announced that the President has nominated RADM Joseph Rixey to serve as the next DSCA Director

Flag Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nominations: 

Navy Rear Adm. Terry J. Benedict for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and for assignment as director for Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C. 

Navy Rear Adm. Joseph W. Rixey for appointment to the rank of vice admiral for and assignment as director, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Arlington, Va.  Rixey is currently serving as director, Navy International Programs Office, Office of the Secretary of the Navy, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. 

Navy Captain Bret J. Muilenburg has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Muilenburg is currently serving as senior engineer assistant to the commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet Engineer and commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
